I’m a developer with a focus on data visualization and natural language processing. I’ve worked at the BBC in interactive news, then The Guardian to work on data visualization projects including Wikileaks and the NSA Files. Outside of journalism, I’ve been building projects to visualize search data for Google and sports data for the Rio Olympics and Paralympics.
In 2017 I wrote AURA (a backronym for ‘A Really Useful App’), an app for macOS that supports Gmail. Now most of my time is spent on AURA and open source work in Bitcoin and Lightning.
I’m on Twitter @kitdotcross and Github as @kitx. Or e-mail me (PGP key: 0x95CF0ABB3CF41F95). I’ll reply as soon as I can.
